“My husband and I wanted the support of a doula for the birth of our first child and we loved our meeting with Courtney and Lauren. We planned a home birth and had backup midwife care at a hospital. Courtney and Lauren answered all of our questions and had great follow through. When plans changed for us at 38 weeks pregnant, they were so supportive and offered extra phone calls and meet ups. During our birth, they were troopers. It's amazing having the two of them because they were able to switch out during a long labor. They gave physical support with massage and water sips, and emotional support with lots of encouragement and communication with the hospital staff. And they took photos and videos for us, which are priceless. They're such kind and loving beings and also total professionals. Definitely recommend working with them because they truly love what they do and it shows!”

“I was lucky enough to work with Courtney and Lauren for not one but two births. I found them when I was pregnant with my second, after having an unplanned C-section with my first. They were so understanding and supportive on my journey to have a VBAC, educating me about birth and helping me identify the tools and resources so that my body and mind was ready. I used them for the delivery of my third as well, and, while we were like old friends at this point, they also helped me along my journey for an unmedicated VBAC this time around. Again, supporting my goals and providing me With supper, care, and resources along the way. Having them in the delivery room helped me feel in control and at peace, that I was in good hands. Highly recommend Doula’s of ATL!”

“I highly recommend Doulas of ATL! Courtney and Lauren are so kind and easy to work with. They made me feel heard and seen and did everything they could to help me have the pregnancy and labor journey I wanted for my second child. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I found out I had to have a c-section for the safety of the baby, and they were so compassionate and helped me process the news and made sure I advocated for a gentle c-section. My only regret was not hiring them for my first pregnancy!”

“Doulas of ATL recently guided me through the birth of my first child. Lauren and Courtney are brilliant, empathetic, and bring so much clarity and compassion to the process of pregnancy and birth. I chose Doulas of ATL because they had a session dedicated to prepping the birth partner (my husband found this so helpful and confidence-building), and were willing to work with insurance. Practical considerations, but what made my baby’s birth magical was Lauren and Courtney’s warmth, support, and space-holding for birth’s glorious and messy realities. I found their services to be an incredible value for money, too. Next time I’m expecting, Lauren and Courtney will be my first call (or, max, third :))”

On us switching out during birth: “One of my favorite experiences with y’all as my doulas! It felt like such a seamless and happy experience during the transition and both of y’all poured so much love into our new family. So proud of y’all for recognizing and holding these boundaries so that you can give your clients your best selves but also set an example of self-care and love.”

“My experience with Lauren & Courtney was phenomenal. From the moment I hired them I felt so cared for and cherished, and they were always there to answer all the random questions I had throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. I never felt like I was a burden or bother, and they were so knowledgeable. Also knowing both doulas in case you need a "backup" because of a long labor or because one doula is sick is SOOO comforting. I knew I wouldn't be able to choose which midwife delivered my baby, but knowing that I knew for sure what doula (well, at least that it was going to be one of the two) was going to be there with me made me feel so much better about that uncertainty. They helped me prepare for and have exactly the birth I wanted (unmedicated, spontaneous vaginal birth) and made the experience so incredibly special for me. I can't imagine having done it without them, and now I can't imagine ever not having them in mine and my daughter's life!”

“We could not have chosen better!!! Lauren and Courtney make an amazing team. We felt so comfortable with them since we first met them. Courtney was our angel during our labor and delivery. I was aiming towards a VBAC and she made sure I could do it! I’m sure I would have given up earlier if she had not been there. She teamed up with my husband and together they empowered me to fight for what I wanted and what my body was capable of!! We had an amazing experience and she was always by our side. You can’t go wrong with them!

“Between the back massages, the comb grips, the playlist repeats & handy bag of tools/tricks, Lauren served as our very own birthing Mary Poppins. We recommend her to anyone in need of a doula.”

“I can’t even write this without tearing up thinking about how grateful I am that Tommy and I had access to Lauren’s postpartum doula services after the babies were born. In my first weeks home, recovering from a C-section, and facing a mountain of hormones, emotion, and two tiny lives that were mine to protect and care for, Lauren was there to validate, and help, and provide care for me and Tommy. Sometimes she helped me feed babies, sometimes she literally fed me. In my later weeks of the fourth trimester she helped me find my footing, she helped me organize, she meal prepped, she helped me stay on top of the mountain of laundry that twins create. She was a sister in twin parenthood, she was a witness when there were none, and she was an invaluable practical resource during the most vulnerable time in our lives.”

“First, Lauren and Courtney came in pretty over our initial price point for a doula. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. Our goal was to have a home birth and after some plot twists it was determined that we needed to transfer to the hospital. Courtney was with us the whole time, found her way into the hospital and our room in record time. She even made sure our animals were taken care of and helped our friend clean up the supplies so we came home to a spotless room. We were ultimately successful in an unmedicated delivery at the hospital and we COULD NOT have done it without Courtney there. After the fact they checked on us frequently and 6 months later are still responsive for random questions and resources. Doulas of ATL hold a very special place with our family.”

-Meghan + Casey

“Both Lauren and Courtney were supportive, hands on, and super caring about me and the delivery of my baby. They were both receptive to our needs of allowing my husband to be as present as possible, while also nurturing when it came time for him to take a break. They balance each other really well, and are rooted in love and grace. Both women are very strong, knowledgeable and most importantly willing and able to get in the trenches with you and see to it you have the physical, emotional and mental support needed.”

-Shantel + Troy

“We had such an amazing experience with Courtney and Lauren! They are both so knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate! We did the Childbirth Education class and Birth Support. Being super anxious first time parents, the evidence-based information we learned during the Childbirth Education classes and prenatal meeting helped us feel more relaxed and prepared for the labor and postpartum period. When I was freaking out about something or had a question they were always there for me and their calm and kind demeanor put me at ease! I gave birth during covid so they were not allowed in the delivery room, but they provided constant support via video, calling, and text. I felt so much more confident and empowered during my labor knowing that in addition to my husband, I had Courtney and Lauren there for support to help me have the experience I wanted. They were both truly amazing in the Postpartum visit too! They helped me with my breastfeeding and other newborn questions and let me get a nice nap in which for newborn parents is huge! I cannot recommend Doulas of ATL enough, we are so grateful to have found them for our birth journey!”
